How you doin’?
Fans of the smash-hit 90s sitcom Friends are doin’ great because on May 27th, the cast of the series came together for a long-awaited reunion special.
HBO Max’s Friends: The Reunion was nostalgic, fun, and at times, emotional.
Jennifer Anniston, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc effortlessly fell back into their entertaining dynamic, even after they had been – to quote Ross Geller – “on a break.”

Now that you’ve watched the reunion special and your love for Friends has reawakened, you probably want to incorporate the series’ iconic fashion into your wardrobe. These outfits, inspired by the leading ladies of Friends, will help you bring the late 90s into 2021.
As Friends progressed, we got to witness Rachel Green, who was introduced as being spoiled and helpless, become an independent woman. With a successful career in fashion, Rachel is undoubtedly the most stylish of the friends. Rachel’s outfits throughout Friends range from comfy and cozy to classy and professional, but no matter the occasion, each of her outfits is perfectly assembled.
Rachel often wears cute graphic tees and sweatshirts, mini skirts, slip dresses, blazers, black tights, adorable denim pieces and form-fitting sweaters. She gravitates toward basic colors like gray, black, white and brown with the occasional splash of green.

In the friend-group, (as well as in her relationship with Chandler,) you could say that Monica Geller “wears the trousers.” While each of the leading ladies of Friends is strong in her own right, Monica is the first one that comes to mind when I picture a strong woman. Controlling (in a good way!), sensible and reliable, Monica’s personality reflects in her style of dress.
Throughout the series, Monica wears simple and timeless clothing. Her wardrobe contains a large amount of denim, button-down tops, and monochromatic tops. At times, her outfits could even be considered tomboyish. She sticks with a neutral color palette with the exception of her signature color – red.
Phoebe Buffay never fails to brighten her friends’ days with her humor and positivity. The eccentric “hippie” of the group, Phoebe is kindhearted, free-spirited and confident, and her bohemian style is as unique as she is.
Phoebe’s fashion staples include maxi and midi skirts and dresses, funky patterns, lots of layers and baggy silhouettes. She incorporates more color into her wardrobe than Rachel and Monica, underscoring her vibrant personality.
